August 26, 2005 is a night to remember. Lets just say, Tanya Tucker had her power status kicked up a few levels that night. Tanya walks out onstage with her turquoise jacket on with black pants all sparkling with bling-bling. Starting on TUCKER TIME,  the songlist hit off with  ”Trouble”. Of course the attitude raged and the excitement and thrill just glowed in her face. Second song is, “Another Woman”. When Tanya was done, she says she thinks it’s so beautiful up in the hills of Porterville and just very glad to be here. Then she leads into, “It Won’t Be Me” following, “Oh, What it did to me”. Her vocal power was just amazing and the crowd really got into it. After that is, “Strong Enough to Bend” and as always, Tanya can still get in the groove! After that, the very fun filled, “San Antonio Stroll”. That girl still has her moves and you catch yourself wanting to do them too! This next song Tanya dedicated to her California friends, which was, “Hangin’ In”. Now it’s time for the acoustic version of, “Lizzie,” “Jamestown Ferry,” “What’s Your Mama’s Name Child,” “Blood Red and Going Down,” and “Would You Lay With Me.” Of course she jokes about that song and how there was controversy because she was so young when she came out with it. In her younger days her Father would take her into a recording studio for her to sing “You Ain’t Woman Enough to take my Man.” They told her come back when she knows what she is talking about.  Then she thanks her fans for staying by her and buying the records. After that, she leads into “Walking Shoes”. “Love Me Like You Used to” is always nice to hear LIVE too. Following that is, “Down to my Last Tear Drop”. Tanya says she recorded her latest album about two years ago and was going to do the single from that which is, “Memory Like I’m Gonna Be”.  For the song that touches all is, “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane” and she talks about her parents and how they’ve been married for over 50 years. “It’s a Little Too Late” is the next song, and it’s always a great foot taper! Now for the Grand Finale, the great, “Delta Dawn”. This song sounds so great every time! The crowd gave Tanya a standing ovation and she stays like a minute longer on stage for those that went up with things for her to sign. Tanya put on and excellent show once again and she brought smiles and happiness to many! Porterville California can't wait for her to come back!
