Lindsay, ON Concert
(Review By Maureen Melong)
Here's a rundown on Tanya's concert at the Lindsay Exhibition Grounds:
My Daughter & I were at the concert at the Lindsay Exhibition Grounds. The venue itself, left a lot to be desired (to say the least & kindest), and after sitting thru 3 tedious opening acts, out came Miss T as soon as 'Trouble' started playing! She was on stage right at 9.30pm & did a wonderful concert that went on til around 11.00pm...(well worth sitting thru the opening acts & rotten venue).
Tanya sounded in fantastic voice & looked wonderful in a classy black outfit with a jeweled belt & lots of jewelry. T seemed happy, upbeat & seemed to be having a blast with some of her more rockin' tunes, like 'It's A Little Too Late'. She joked quite a bit, and as always turned serious when she began talking about her parents long marriage (just before she does 'Two Sparrows') talked about lasting love & never finding it.
The highlight of the show was when she did, "What's Your Mama's Name", and Layla was reluctantly brought out. She sat on T's lap, smiled, shyly covered her eyes & squirmed, like all 5 yr olds do, lol. When Tanya got to the line 'What's Your Mama's Name', Layla looks at her & says, 'Tanya'. The crowd loved it! In fact the crowd loved Tanya period & hooted & hollered after every song & she did an encore of 'It's A Little Too Late". She closed the show of course with, "Delta Dawn". Here's the song set list:
1. Some Kind Of Trouble
2. I'll Come Back As Another Woman
3. It Won't Be Me
4. Oh, What It Did To Me
5. Strong Enough To Bend
