Oak Ridge Boys, Tanya Tucker To Headline Benefit Concert The Oak Ridge Boys, Tanya Tucker, Bill Anderson and Aaron Tippin will perform at a benefit concert next month for victims of deadly tornadoes that pounded Tennessee in February. The concert will be held May 10th in Red Boiling Springs. All the money from the show will go to disaster victims in Tennessee and areas of southern Kentucky as well. The storms claimed 32 lives and destroyed hundreds of homes. Singer Jett Williams, the daughter of Hank Williams Senior, organized the concert. Her town was hard hit by the tornadoes.

Tanya Wins Careity Foundation's Celebrity Cutting Event On Nov. 30/07 Tanya Tucker has an award for a non-musical accomplishment. She rode her way to victory at the Careity Foundation's Annual Celebrity Cutting Competition in Fort Worth, Texas. The Careity Foundation is dedicated to helping cancer patients. Tucker and her partner, national bull riding champion Guilherme Marchi, beat eight other celebrity teams to take the win at the event. The singer is an experienced horseback rider and a huge supporter of the Careity Foundation. She's been around horses all her life, and says she has a respect for them. Tucker says, quote, "Being on a cutting horse is like driving a Porsche Turbo. I love speed and being in control of all that speed and agility is so incredibly empowering."
