Niagara Falls Concert
(Review by Maureen Melong)
The Bear's Den Casino concert, in Niagara Falls, NY was well worth the wait! Tanya was there & not running on, 'Tucker Time', she was onstage promptly at 7.00pm when the concert was supposed to start! It was a pretty much packed house,(to which she got a standing ovation when she came onstage). Tanya has lost considerable weight, and looked great in a black sequined pant suit. The band sounded great, and the addition of the girl she has as a backup singer really adds to the show, (she's very personable & smiles a lot). Tanya was in absolute AWESOME mode with her singing last night (I will list the songs at the end), she seemed in a reflective mood when chatting with the audience after a few songs, and although she had her usual high energy, was a little subdued I thought. She cracked her usual jokes with the story of 'Three Sparrows' & her Mom & Dad, "I don't know how anyone could stay with the same Dude for 60 years". Beau Grayson was with her on this trip & I saw him briefly after the show ended, unfortunately I didn't get a M & G, there didn't appear to be one, at least not after the 7.00pm show, she had a later show to do at 10.00pm. Here's the set list:
1. Some Kind Of Trouble
2. I'll Come Back As Another Woman
3. It Won't Be Me (here she says this girl needs help, lol)
4. Oh, What It Did To Me (goose bump time)
5. Strong Enough To Bend
6. Jamestown Ferry
7. What's Your Mama's Name
8. Blood Red And Going Down
9. Would You Lay With Me
(went into the story about country radio not playing it & the controversy)
10. San Antonio Stroll
11. Hangin' In
12. Lizzie And The Rain Man
13. A Memory Like I'm Gonna Be
14. Old Weakness
15. It's A Little Too Late
16. Two Sparrows In A Hurricane
