Oct 22nd Review

I just watched the first hour long premier of "Tuckerville" with Tanya Tucker, family and friends all in tow and all I can say is...."Hats of to Miss T!!!!" This show is SO totally Tanya, as natural and upfront as you would expect from this Country Diva! The show ran the gambit of emotions from funny to touching with a surprise around every corner. I think it takes a lot of confidence in yourself to put yourself and family on public TV "as is" basically and on a scale of 1-10 I give her reality show a 10+!!!

Entertainment at it's best and for Tanya fans a REAL treat, for those who aren't die hard fans, even you will come away from this peek into Miss T's life at home and on the road with a whole new outlook and respect for her as both an entertainer and single Mom. If you missed tonights show......be sure to catch it nest Saturday at 10:00 PM Eastern time!

If you watched the show tonight, did you love the new catch phrase, "Tucker Time" LOL Hey, I hope to hear it and even live it now and then! She is in deed "The Real Deal!!"

Oct 29th Review

Round 2 of TUCKERVILLE started out with Tanya questioning Annie asking if she took Tanya's fishin' pole out of her closet. There was some stern words from Tanya about people going into her closet and taking things with out her permission. Rightfully so, I'd feel the same way. You sure don't mess with T's stuff!

Moving on, Presley was going to go to a performance with Mom, Tanya and sing her first live solo on stage! Presley wanted to do a song that she felt was her style so Tanya let her choose. It was a difficult song and Presley struggled with it at the first rehearsal. Tanya, in typical "Mom" fashion wanted Presley to do well so called in some friends ( the band's name escapes me at the moment........help!!) to work with her and they seemed to get her to relax and get in the groove of the song. Tanya made it known however (to the cameras, not Presley) that she wanted Presley to learn she had to really apply herself and if she didn't, she'd pay by embarrassing herself on stage. The big moment came on stage after a touching intro by Tanya and Presley started to sing. She was floundering when Tanya realized her daughter's ear mics weren't loud enough for her to hear and strolled out to give the sound crew the message, took her place back to the side stage as they started the song over and she did great! Proud Mama T stood in the wings rocking with the song and grinning from ear to ear!

Mean while at home Grayson and his little pal were looking for and getting into more trouble than their guardian for the weekend could handle! I do believe Grayson was playing for the cameras. He may not be heading into the music business but rather acting as he sure seems to enjoy playing to them and filming the family himself. We'll see if next week Grayson ends up with MORE chores for his mischief!

Meanwhile Little Laya seems to take all this hustle and bustle in stride. Cute as a button with a smile that will melt your heart she seems perfectly happy to watch all the action going on around her.

Nov. 5th Review

Well, this weeks visit to Tuckerville was VERY eventful so hold on to your saddle horns, this may be a long ride!

This weeks show ran the gambit of emotions and showed some new character traits in Tanya's oldest children, Presley & Grayson. Tanya planned a one on one girl trip for herself and Presley to go out of town to a concert of Trick Pony, one of Presley's favorite country groups. One little detail Tanya left out of her plans until the last minute was, who was going to watch "little Layla" while they were gone. After coming up empty handed for a sitter she told Presley they'd have to take her with them. A very disappointed 16 year old protested this idea because she was looking forward to time alone with Mom and this was NOT acceptable to her. Presley made it known if that was the only option, she did not want to go. She and Tanya had 'words' and Presley left the room. While she was in her room (kind of pouting, no doubt and upset) in walks brother Grayson who had an idea to present to her. He'd tag along and stay at the hotel and watch Layla so she and Mom could go out to the concert alone. Well, nice try Grayson, that was very thoughtful of you but she wasn't buying that either.

Meanwhile Tanya had a show to prepare for and travel to do. Leaving while she and Presley were fighting was very upsetting. Tanya said it would be hard to get up and do a show but she'd have to "suck it up" and give her fans her all because that's what you have to do, they deserved nothing less. (What a gal!)

So, show over she heads home to find Presley had emptied her bedroom out into the hall. Included was a beautiful portrait of Tanya that had been hanging above her fireplace for years. Tanya knocked on the door, Presley opened it and Mom asked, "what's goin' on?" Presley said she wanted a room that was more 'her' and Tanya pressed on asking what it was REALLY about. Presley admitted she did it partly because she was 'angry' (her word was PO'd) Tanya said, "now that's what I wanted to hear, the truth!" She and Presley hugged and Tanya took her portrait and joked about it smiling as she head around the corner. Tanya let her declare some teenage independence and handled it very well. She really has it together as to when to pull on the reins and when to give them some slack when it comes to raising her children!

It's time for another birthday party. Layla turns six and Tanya rounds up the troops to plan a big bash. She and the older kids go on a shopping spree at.....WalMart and Tanya's love for shopping is true to form once again! The party was on the way when Grayson discovers his pet Boa (snake) was missing from his glass home! He and little Layla were feeding it when a call from downstairs sent them packing leaving the top off the container. Grayson and his pal looked all through the party but Boa was no where to be found. Thank goodness he didn't join the party downstairs!

That night Grayson decides to take one more look for his pet and finally saw his tail under a wicker dresser but, he was stuck to some very tacky, sticky paper used to catch mice, spiders etc. It did not look good for the poor critter and Grayson went to get Mom. As much as Tanya hates snakes she was as upset as he was seeing the helpless snake. They took him downstairs carefully and Tanya called their vet. She and Grayson took turns talking to the vet as Tanya did as told and began to pour cooking oil on the paper and try to work the snake off of it. She was worried he'd bite but kept on tenderly slipping the oil around him and finally he was free! Presley walked in and was upset and they all petted and comforted the poor thing until he seemed to be out of shock. They took him to a bathroom, put towels in the tub and Tanya gave Presley one of her plush 'PINK" towels to wrap him in, she placed him in the tub and a weary family went to bed.

Whew!!! Tanya is TNT with a BIG dose of TLC and put it all together and what do you get? The REAL, LOVING, CARING mother, awesome performer and ONE & ONLY TANYA TUCKER! You gotta love her!!!

Nov. 12th Review

This week, the goings and comings of Tanya and the 'goings on' while she's away and returns home made for another action packed and entertaining show! This may be another LONG ride fans so here we go!

Tanya is preparing to fly to Hollywood, CA to do an interview for the CBS, nightly show, The Insider. Presley tells her she'll miss her and Layla wants to go with mama. Tanya explains there would be nothing for her to do and she'd only be gone one day. Trying to take Layla's mind off her leaving, Tanya asked her, "So what are you gonna do while I'm gone?" Little Layla without hesitation says, "I'm gonna cry the whole time and it's all your fault!" (Kind of like a mini Tanya tellin' it like it is!)

Thinking it would make Layla feel better if she road along to the airport didn't work out as Tanya had hoped. After a tearful good bye Tanya admits this is the hardest part, leaving her kids behind. She arrives in L.A. and in typical Tanya fashion, she's a half hour late for her interview. Putting on make-up and curling hair in the limo on the way to the studio, she's running on "Tucker time" as she and everyone who knows and loves her calls her talent for being late. Interview done, Tanya has to take time for a small shopping spree, not at WalMart but on Rodeo Drive before departing to return home.

While gone, Grayson and pal, Nelson, left in the care of former handyman, now Grayson's guardian when Tanya is away it's obvious they are a bundle of energy as usual. This time he has a plan and takes the boys to the gym to work it off and hopefully tire them out. With a little fun on the gym's equipment and a sparring session for Grayson and Nelson who wearing boxing gloves and throwing punches, he's hopeful this will tame them down and get rid of some pent up energy. Just when he thinks his plan has worked, he tells the boys he's going to hit the showers at the gym only leaving the boys to pull yet a prank on him as they have done before. This time hiding his clothes he put in the locker leaving him wandering around calling for them wearing only a towel!

Next morning Grayson and Nelson leave a note saying they went to Nelson's house, then sneak out of the house before their 'sitter' awakes to go visit a "fainting goat" farm where Grayson hopes to learn about these curious goats for a report he's doing for school. After talking to the owner Grayson starts chasing down goats which drop to the ground unable to move for a while when confronted. It doesn't harm them but like Grayson said, it's fun but kind of sad. Grayson decides to buy two of them and the owner helps load them in a cage onto the back of the four wheel cart the boys drove over on. At the TT ranch the sitter for the boys worries about not hearing from them and loosing his job if Tanya hears of him not keeping track of the two of them, when he gets a call from Grayson. They ran out of gas on the way home so he's off to the rescue. He was shocked to see he had not only two boys to drive back in his car but two small goats! Tanya arrives home to find the two little critters in her house by the stair case. She doesn't even flinch, just talks about how cute they are and how she always brought home animals when she was a child. (It's just her life in Tuckerviille!)

It's time for the yearly rodeo at Tanya's ranch and Annie, Tanya's assistant forgot to fill one of her duties in the preparations, getting cattle to the ranch for the rodeo. Tanya who is a stickler for details and plans is NOT happy but everything went off fine and Tanya performs for family and the crowd that evening, looking great, singing as only MissT can and having a good time!

Another day with Miss T has Annie dropping her off at the tanning salon so she can keep her healthy looking glow. Her glow back Tanya goes out front of the salon where Annie was to be there to pick her up but, no Annie. Tanya tries to reach her by phone several times to no avail. Annie is still at the ranch listening to a friend sing and play guitar while no one hears the phone or messages Tanya leaves. A very upset Tanya goes back in to the salon and asks for them to call her a cab. She gets to the ranch, has to go inside to get more money to pay the $75.00 cab fare and is livid. She confronts Annie about not picking her up or answering her calls and the two butt heads. Tanya decides Annie has been neglecting her duties far too much and tells her she's sorry but she has to let her go. Tanya is preparing to take off in her bus to go to do a show and there is a moving van backed up to the house. Taking a glance inside she spots several items, mostly clothing that are hers or the kids and removes them before boarding the bus.

In closing while on the bus she tells how Annie is like family and Tanya would always be there if she needed her, but it was time for her to move on. As she explained to Annie, it was her job to take care of her (Tanya) and to take care of details given to her by Miss T concerning matters at the ranch. Annie has been with Tanya off and on for sixteen years, had her own room at the ranch and was like part of the family but to Tanya, business is business! We'll find out if Annie's departure is for good or not in weeks to follow. You just never know what may happen next in TUCKERVILLE!!

Nov. 19th Review

Tuckerville was buzzin' this week with everything from driving lessons to talks of plastic surgery. There's a lot to tell so here we go!

While Tanya was doing a live radio show, back at the ranch Kurt was bestowed the honors or horrors, he wasn't sure, of giving Presley driving lessons. In a vintage car no less! The lessons went pretty well as Presley got the hang of shifting gears in this classic auto and manuvering around the roads of the ranch. Grayson even took it for a spin with Kurt riding SHOTGUN. When Tanya returned and asked how it went, she decided she'd like to take the wheel since she hadn't driven it yet. Well, after knocking over one of the kid's bikes she was off and running muttering, "I told them to put that away." Oops!

The next day finds Tanya in the kitchen, nothing unusual but this time she's preparing ingredients for her big pot of what she calls, "$100.00 Chili." Named so because her secret ingredient she says is Filet Mignon. This isn't the family meal but for a chili cook off she entered this year. She wants it to be just right for the event which takes place the next morning.

That evening Tanya meets up with a group of her girl friends for some girl talk and fun. Some gentlemen from another table sent the ladies champaigne so they toasted and chatted. Seems Tanya's friends want to play match maker and set her up with some one. She declines the offer saying she's just fine right now the way she is.

After a late night the whole house is fast asleep when friends come who are going to help Tanya at the chili cook off. Seems the whole house is on "Tuckertime." Tanya explained this week that "Tuckertime" means, "Getting there when you want to." I wonder if she sells watches that tell "Tuckertime", it's a great concept Tanya! She gets up, rushes to get ready, no one could get the kids up, they would rather sleep in. Tanya and friends load her chili and supplies into her truck and as she races away to try to get there in time commented, "I hope I don't get a ticket for speeding." Tanya confesses she's very competitive and as she and her helpers hand out samples of her chili. The last years winning chili cook off chief comes over to Tanya with a sample of her chili which Tanya tastes and admits is really good. The votes are in and......the winner is....... last years chili cook off champ again! Tanya says she may have to give this ANOTHER RUN next year!

At home Presley and her girlfriend were on the computer when Tanya walked in. They were on line in a chat room. Tanya's curious about how this works so they set up a profile for her to match her up with some one on line of the male persuation. She rattled off her preferances etc. as Presley typed. When they went for the match up, they all broke up laughing. It seems Tanya's match was sure not in the group that popped up on screen. She admits, perhaps she set her standards too high. Well you deserve the best Miss T!!

Tanya girlfriend comes to visit and she leads her up to her 2,000 sq. foot closet! Now that's a Texas size closet!!! She was showing her how she puts what she calls 'bling' on clothing and accessories by adding glittering studs which she applies here and there. Tanya has a whole rack of just fanny packs! While trying on some clothes she's had for a while, she finds everything is too tight and starts talking about this being a real problem. She feels it's time for a change. Presley however thinks even now her Mom is really sexy as she sits in the closet watching her try on clothes.

Later Nelson shows up with camping gear and asks Grayson to help him to earn his Survival Badge by camping out and doing the required things. Off they go to a remote part of the ranch grounds to set up camp. They failed the tent set up, the fire starting and the purifying water, all required so Grayson cheats on the fire using a lighter, drives back to the house for some food and drinks and then they decide to be 'boys' and toss the tent and Gayson's sleeping bag onto the fire. Oops...the fire gets pretty big so they run to the creek and bail water to put the fire out. Tanya while out riding her horse in the morning, decides to check on them but they were back at the house sleeping. She sees the mess they made so orders Grayson to clean it up when she returns to the house.

Tanya has the kids gathered around in the kitchen as she tells them she's thinking of having some 'improvements' made on herself in the line of plastic surgery. She explains that it's important to feel good about yourself and this would, she feels do just that for her. The older kids voice concern about Mom having surgery but are supportive. So, she makes an appointment to have a consultation with a plastic surgeon. One of her friends goes with her and she tells the doctor what she wishes to have done then asked for his input. He explains everything in detail to her, they decide on all that she'd have done and she leaves feeling well informed and pretty set on following through with the procedures.

So, there may be some 'nip and tucking' going on in Tuckerville in the future so keep tuned in to find out if we'll see a new look for our beloved Miss T! We wish you the best Tanya but.......FYI, we LOVE you just the way you are but....if this makes you happy, we stand beside you on your decision, right fans?! Now, some stars may admit they have had some 'work' done but, how many take their fans along to the doctor when they TELL ALL abut what they want done I ask you? Once again, our Country Diva shows she's up front, open, honset and.....THE REAL DEAL!  Bravo Tanya!!!!

Welcome Back To Tuckerville! April 8th 2006

As the show opens it finds Tanya in her closet trying on clothes which are way to snug. This was part of the last season's ending show. She decides it's time to do something about it and after a consultation with a plastic surgeon he tells her she must make some changes before he does any surgical procedures. He tells her to lose some weight, exercise and to stop smoking. Her first effort is to hire a personal trainer who comes to the house to meet her. A specimen of physical fitness named Steve shows up at her door and she invites him in. He wanted to see what she has in her refrigerator and cupboards and is shocked at all of the fattening foods! When he asked what her favorite food was, she answered, "Krispy Cream Doughnuts" and she was amazed he had never heard of them!

Meanwhile, Presley is off to driver training to try to get her driving permit. She did well until the actually driving test which ended with her having to parallel park which she botched up by hitting two cars in the process! No luck with the first try for her.

At home Grayson gets a phone call from friend and guardian, Kurt who had been arrested and was in jail for not paying a traffic fine. He asked Grayson to help get him out but not to tell Tanya. Grayson calls a bail bond and is told he needs $300.00 to post his bail. He looked for money in couch cushions, in Mom and Presley's rooms but found all the money he needed when he broke open little Layla's piggy bank! He and friend, Nelson set off by bus to the court house to free Kurt but failed. Kurt had to spend 12 days in jail.

Tanya decided to begin her transformation of self improvement by having her permanent make-up touched up and getting botox injections. Being deathly afraid of needles, she asked to be put under for the procedures. When she was done, her new assistant, Shawna was waiting to drive her home and take care of her. At home Tanya was in bed resting from her ordeal so little Layla decides to make Mama some soup to eat since that's what she does when she is sick. She starts with a can of soup then says she wants to put all of the things Mama likes in it. She adds some chocolate candy pieces, honey, raw eggs and pepper and stirs it up. Putting it on a tray with a cup of Tanya's favorite soft drink, Dr. Pepper. she carefully carries it upstairs to Tanya's room. Tanya was touched by her gesture but about got ill looking into the bowl of gunk. Not wanting to hurt Layla's feelings she took a taste, about gagged and said, "I think I'll stick with the crackers for now Honey" and thanked her for being so sweet and thoughtful.

In Tanya's effort to stop smoking, she and Presley go to the store for some aids like patches, gum and candies to take away the desire for a cigarette. It wasn't long before patch and all Tanya had to light up. With the kids at her about stopping she continues to TRY. That evening she took Presley and Layla to watch her cut horses for the first time in a long while. She commented that music and cutting horses were the two things she loved to do most. She did a great job and afterward she went to a friend for a cigarette ,saying she always did after a work out like that. At home, she had left Grayson and his friend Nelson in the care of a new guardian, Steve. That poor guy didn't know what he was in for! The boys really put him to the test but in the end, he and Grayson bonded over a common interest, music.

As a final effort to kick the habit, Tanya sees a hypnotist and he puts her under, tells her she will no longer have the desire for smoking and as she drives away from the office with Shawna and Layla she said she felt positive about this then lights one up! She said she just wanted to hold it, which I think was just to reassure Layla who really wants her to stop, that she wasn't smoking. She admits, this is NOT going to be easy. Check back next week to see how she's doing! Never a dull moment in Tuckerville!

April 15th Review

This is going to be a long one....hope Suz enjoyed her night off, but that's it girl! The party's over, get back here, lol!!

The week we open with Curt getting sprung from jail, & Grayson & Nelson arriving to escort him home to Tuckerville on Public Transit!  Tanya gives Curt a warm welcome & explains that he's a good guy, who made a mistake..that he doesn't belong in jail.  She puts him to work helping Presley, who wants to re-decorate her room.  Curt & Presley head down to the Home Depot & get help picking out a cart load of supplies.  Presley, and her friends Emma & Melody help her prep the room for painting, but since none of them can paint a lick....they make a speedy getaway when Curt arrives in a white jumpsuit (looking like a cross between Elvis & a Spaceman) all set to paint!

Meanwhile, Tanya makes a pit stop at Wal-Mart where she runs into her favorite clerk, Dwight who clearly adores Miss T. Tanya makes his day by inviting him to go with her to the studio that evening & see her record a song. She later picks Dwight up at Wal-Mart & they head to her friend Gary's recording studio where she actually records a song called, "Take Me Dancing"....a bluesy sounding tune which she sounded amazing on!! 

Next morning Chad, T's new personal trainer shows up & mixes her a juice concoction for breakfast which she about gags on, then its on to the exercise mat for a workout. After Chad leaves, Tanya sneaks a Krispy Kreme, lol!!

Meanwhile, Presley's cousin Cali, arrives to take her furniture shopping for her newly decorated room. The girls pick out some neat stuff, which is delivered the next day & Tanya comes in to inspect the room. She likes Presley's choices, but says's there's something missing.....she drags the picture of herself in that Presley threw out last season & laughs her head off!!

April 22nd Review

 

Tanya talks again about wanting to stop smoking but the shows opens with her searching through drawers etc. trying to find cigarettes. Her search successful, she lights up and sits down to watch TV. She see's an ad for a hypnotist's seminar in Nashville and writes down the information. She tried this route before but hopes this time it will work. She calls friend Nancy to see if she will go with her to the seminar and Nancy agrees. Tanya volunteers for a demonstration as the session starts and proves the power of suggestion works. After the seminar she feels this time it just may have done the trick.

Back in Tuckerville Grayson and Nelson are bored. Grayson gets the idea to video tape his own "How To Fish" show and recruits his cousin Cali to join them. At the pond, things didn't go as he had hoped. Matter of fact, Cali caught the first fish and Nelson caught a huge bass. So much for his fishing show.

Tanya has some cleaning help around the house by a mother and daughter team, Susan and her daughter Crystal. With three kids and a career who wouldn't need help with that mansion?! It's Crystal's's 20th birthday and Tanya who loves to surprise people, has a plan for Crystal's birthday. She got the three of them box seat tickets to Crystal's favorite male artist, Tim McGraw! When she told the ladies, they were thrilled. Tanya decides to UP the surprise by contacting Tim's assistant about a meet and greet with Tim back stage before the show. It's all set but he said Tim wanted something from her in return, a guest performance by Miss T.

Tanya's friends ,Nancy and Tutti decide to go shopping with her for a gift for Crystal but as moving through the store are mobbed by adoring fans wanting pictures with Miss T and autographs. She always takes the time for her fans so finally Nancy says we have to go and Tanya said her good-byes. They decided she needed a disguise to move around in public so stopped in a wig store where T tried on many wigs, some really cute, others way out there! Each gal bought a wig, put it on and they walked out arm in arm looking really different but great!

Tanya had woken up that morning with terrible toothache so had Kurt drive her and Layla to the dentist. Turns out she had an abscessed tooth and rather than fix it then and make it really impossible for her to go to the concert or to sing, they offer to give her some medication to help her until Monday after the concert. In pain she rushes home to get ready for the night out. They are running late (what's new?) and meet Susan and Crystal outside the Gaylord Entertainment Center back stage door. Tanya leads the way and who do they find? Tim waiting and after she introduces Crystal as a huge fan, Tim gives her a hug. She had a dream come true thanks to Tanya's thoughtfulness and connections.

Tanya performed "Walking Shoes" to a standing ovation and on the way home she was truly in pain but she toughed it out in Tanya style and made it an unforgettable night for Crystal.

Tuckerville April 28th


The subject of this weeks show leans toward Tanya's talking about and acting upon being a good parent. She has some pretty interesting ways of dealing with Grayson's misbehaving, so hang on folks!

Tanya is supposed to do a live radio interview early in the morning to promote the VIP Guitar Auction she will be attending that night. She plans to take Grayson as her escort so he can meet and mingle with some big time song writers, musicians and singers since he has great aspirations of being a song writer and loves guitars. Kurt arrives to drive Tanya to the radio show and finds she's still in bed. (On Tucker Time no doubt!) He calls her from her bedroom, no answer so goes in to find her sound asleep yet. Trying to wake her wasn't easy but she finally sits up, pushes the eye blinds from her eyes as he tells her they have a half hour to get to the station. She said, well, I'm going to have to go as is in my pajamas so puts on her slippers, grabs a blanket and pillow and off they go!

They walk into the studio as she makes remarks about her attire and the DJ jokes with her saying he didn't know it was going to be a pajama party. Tanya plays a game with listeners which she has to make animal sounds for them to win tickets to the event that night. It was fun for all and shows what a good sport Tanya truly is.

As the evening approaches Kurt and little Layla help Grayson pick out what to wear to the red carpet event he and Tanya are attending that night. Choosing his outfit he gets ready and comes downstairs where Tanya, looking fabulous is waiting. They get in a limo and head out in first class. Tanya and Grayson have a good conversation on route about his desire to be a songwriter and his hopes for his future in music. Once there, as they walk the red carpet, Tanya greets friends and fans, signs some autographs and introduces Grayson to people. Grayson is awe struck at all the beautiful young ladies at the event!

Inside Tanya make her rounds with Grayson by her side as she introduces him to artists like Le Roy Parnell, Big and Rich and a famous songwriter, Steve C. (Sorry the last name escapes me) who wrote the song, "Dock Of The Bay" making sure pictures are taken with all of them. Browsing the guitars with Steve, Grayson sees the one Steve entered called, "Dock Of The Bay" which Grayson falls in love with and tells Tanya he wants her to bid on. The proceeds of the auction go to charity so items can get very high priced. She explains this to Grayson but all he knows is he wants THAT guitar. She tries to tell him it's more of an investment than a playing guitar and she will not spend that kind of money on it. They leave the auction, no guitar in hand and Grayson is angry. Tanya wants to teach him that you have to work for things you want and don't always get them.

The next night Tanya decides it would be nice to have a family fun night around a campfire outside. Kurt, cousin Cali and Tanya and all the kids gather around the fire. Grayson is still sulking about the guitar so Tanya decides to try to discuss her reason for not bidding on it and he wants no part of her explanation and gets a wee bit out of line so a heated argument ensues between them and Tanya tells him to leave, which he does muttering and slamming the door into the house with Mom close behind. Angry words are exchanged then T joins the others outside again. Tanya thinks it's time to teach Grayson a lesson and they all cook up a plan to get back at him as he's always the one pulling pranks on them. Once they lay plans down, Mom goes in and has a nice talk with Grayson which ends in them apologizing and giving hugs. She tells him she wants him to learn to be respectful of her and other people. I think she made her point and he took it to heart. 

The next day Tanya, the girls and Kurt go looking for an old house they can use to create a 'haunted house' in the plan to scare Grayson. They find an old abandoned house perfect for the plan. While the girls go shop for some props for the house, Kurt sets Grayson and Nelson up for the scare by making up a story about this old house he heard was haunted and the story of the strange goings on that took place there with the family who once lived there. The boys seem really up for an adventure and even plan to try too contact the spirits of the family in the old house thinking they may hear from their ghosts. Tanya and the girls have put rats from the pet store in the house, a tarantula and splattered fake blood on the walls for special effects. Then they see the headlights coming and hide outside. The plan went off perfectly and in the end Grayson and Nelson got the pants scared off of them! Later at home they all sit down to watch a video Kurt brought, thinking it was what they filmed at the house. Well, part of it was, the rest was of them getting scared silly and of the girls smeared in fake blood and setting up the house. Grayson really laughed watching himself and admitted they got him good!

Tanya admitted that parenting is one of the most difficult things she's ever done. Especially raising a teenage boy but, she proves once again, she's got it under control. You have to admit, she is very creative in every aspect of her life!

Tuckerville May 6th

 

As we have all seen in previous shows, Tanya loves to shop at WalMart and while there she runs in to a friend Manni (Mauuel Cuevas, Jr.) one of Nashville's very well known fashion designers, son of THE Manuel who has designed clothes for some of the biggest singing stars. He's well known for his rhinestone master pieces and jackets. He has designed clothes for such big stars as, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Bob Dylan and even Madonna! Manni tells Tanya he and his father are having their annual Spring Fashion Show in New York and invites her to be a VIP guest. She's thrilled to accept and asks Presley to go with her so they can have a little Mother, daughter time and fun.

Meanwhile, Grayson along with side kick and friend Nelson decide to put Kurt on the internet in a dating match up site. They make up whoppers to put in his profile such as he's a multi-millionaire, very worldly etc. They check out the ladies who have profiles and pick out a beautiful blonde and send her a message on line asking her for a date, as Kurt, Grayson tells her he will prepare her a nice meal at his estate. (Actually it's Mom Tanya's he's talking about!) She replies and accepts. Knowing Mom will be in New York they set up the date for the night she'll be gone.

The next morning, Tanya & Presley are up early, packed and ready to fly off to NY. They're going on an overnight trip but pack enough to stay a month! They get to the airport and go to check their baggage. When asked for a picture ID Tanya searches high and low for her license but can't find it. It seems after making a phone call her friend Debbie has it. (Why I have no clue!) They wait for her to bring it and Presley comment that nothing ever goes smooth when she travels with her Mom.

Meanwhile, back in Tuckerville, Grayson tells Kurt that he put him on line at a dating site and he had a date that night with a lady. He was not too happy until he saw the picture of the gorgeous blonde and all was forgiven. Now they are off to Tanya's favorite spa to get Kurt all made over for his big date. He gets a facial which he thinks rocks, then the spa lady tells him they are going to do a little waxing to remove chest hair. As Grayson & Nelson watch, they apply the melted wax, put the cloth on his chest then yank it off leaving Kurt screaming in pain as the boys about fall over laughing. This goes on for a long while. Next, it's a new outfit so after trying on many, they agree on one and off they go.

The girls get to NY, both looking gorgeous and check into their hotel. Tanya realizes her bag with ALL of her shoes and boots was not there, it got left at the airport. Presley runs to buy her a couple pair of boots but they are a little too high heeled for T's liking. She had to wear one pair though since they were running behind getting ready (good ole Tucker Time!) When the ladies step out of the limo at the Fashion Show, they look great! Tanya is really looking awesome and dressed very elegantly. To me, she definitely has trimmed way down and is a picture of beauty to behold!

Now the boys have to decide what to cook for the dinner date. Things seem to be going well and it's time for Kurt to get ready. his date, Ashley arrives at the mansion, looking impressed but wonders about all the pink interior of the mansion. (Fast forward on the rest!) They sit down for dinner, Kurt pours wine, they have a sip, he spills on his new $500.00 shirt, he's so nervous, the boys make appitizers Twinkies & Ho-Ho's piled on a plate with candles lit on them, they put hot sauce on Kurt's salad, the fried fish and potato main dish is burnt with bones in it, conversation is strained, Kurt makes up some stories answering his dates questions. She has questions about all of the Tanya pictures, he tells her her works for her, Grayson is her son who stays with him on occasion along with his friend Nelson, she thinks that's odd. When dessert comes, a cookie on a plate with M&M's she tells him she'd better go, the weather is bad out. She leaves thinking it was the strangest date she's been on. Kurt thinking she did great, calls her that night from home and asks her out to eat at a restaurant this time, she feels trapped so says yes.

The fashion show is on and Tanya & Presley have front row seats, T wants every outfit she sees, they both go ga-ga over they male models. Show is over, T gets invited to the VIP area to great Manni & Manuel complimenting them on the clothes. Gets a million pictures taken, signs autographs and back to the hotel they go. The next morning they get u early to have more just girl time at restaurant, Tavern On The Green and talk about what fun they had, making plans to do something together again, just the two of them.

Tuckerville May 13th

 

Talking about raising children, Tanya says she feels the best thing you can do is to offer them guidance in whatever they do. She walks into the bathroom where little Layla and a friend are playing with make-up and having a great time. Tanya asks her if she thought it would be fun to be in a beauty pageant like cousin Cali used to do, and Layla sounds interested. Tanya asks Cali to come over to give Layla some pointers on being in a pageant, how to stand, walk and speak. As they begin their lessons, Cali tapes a line on the floor for Layla to walk. After a meager attempt to walk the way Cali demonstrates, Cali is already bored so Cali resorts to bribing her, which works. After Layla finishes her first lesson, Cali rewards her with a bowl of ice cream.

The next day it's back to the dentist for Tanya as Curt takes her to get the root canal she postponed to sing with Tim McGraw at his concert. T, hates the dentist and needs the gas and anything else to get her through the ordeal. Dutiful Curt is in the room as the doctor and assistant attempt to numb Tanya for the procedure. T tells the doctor, "If you hurt me, I'm gonna hurt you!" The numbing shots have T moaning and screaming but now it's time to start drilling. Curt thinks he'll leave the room now, he doesn't do well around this sort of thing. He leaves and wanders around the office pretending to be a dentist with a lab coat on until a nurse busts him. T is all done but very groggy and Curt takes her home where she rests after the ordeal.

Cali returns to work with Layla on pageant lessons and decides that a little fashion show for Tanya may help her to get into it. She puts a pretty dress on her and tells her to wait at the top of the stairs until she announces her. Tanya sits on the couch along with Cali as Layla comes down looking like a little princess. Cali begins by asking Layla,"Why do you want to be in this pageant?" Layla answers, "Because my Mama wants me to." Both ladies laugh and Cali asks her more questions. Layla seems to be getting impatient. Trying to move on to something else, Cali asks if she'd like to do the talent part and sing. Though Layla loves to sing, she didn't want to right now and starts up the stairs mumbling she's going to quit the pageant thing. Tanya decides this will have to wait until Layla is ready, she doesn't believe in forcing a child to do this sort of thing.

The next morning Tanya gathers the kids downstairs bright and early because the TV show, Access Hollywood is coming the next day to do an interview of Tanya and tour her home. She asks for help from the kids to clean up, each taking a folded paper from a bowl with some chores written on them to be fair. No one is interested in helping and balked at the whole idea. Tanya gets upset telling them she's disappointed they don't want to help her out so begins the chores herself. Finding it's going to be too much work for one person, she hires a crew to come in and clean.

Cali meets Curt in Nashville to help him learn to dance the Salsa at a studio of dance so he can be ready for his second date with Ashley. Curt tries but he just isn't doing too well.

The next morning the cleaners arrive and dig in cleaning the mansion. They work well into the evening and return to finish up the morning of the interview. Tim Vincent from Access Hollywood arrives with the film crew and Tanya greets them at the door as she puts the last of the any family dogs outside. With the interview on the way downstairs, kids and animals outside, it's off to a nice start. Meanwhile Layla decides to take her pony put of his little coral and up to her bedroom where she shuts him in, closing the door. Grayson who is in his pigmy goats pen notices Layla is missing and leaves to find her. He neglected to close the pen door and the goats get out, some following him into the house unknown to him. Curt arrives to fix a clogged kitchen drain but is a day early for the job. The interview is moving on now to touring the mansion, first stop, the kitchen where Tanya sees Curt under the sink with a mess all over the floor. As she introduces him to Tim, Curt manages to to spring a plumbing leak which shoots a stream of water at Tim and Tanya. They move on to Tanya's closet, 2000 sq. ft. of clothes, shoes etc. while unknown to Tanya there's not only a horse in the house, but goats who are leaving little trails of goat dodo all over. Grayson finds them but can't get them to move downstairs and outside.

The tour goes on and when T opens Layla's door, there's her pony. Tim gets a laugh as Tanya explains that they are animal lovers so you're bound to find them all over and laugh it off. Next they run into the goats and about then a big rainstorm hits, one of the worst since Tanya has lived there. It subsides some so Tim and the crew can leave. Now it's time to clean up after the goats, bring in all of the dogs and Tanya said she didn't even want to see the show of her interview after the events that took place!

Tanya decides to take Layla to the recording studio with her and after she finishes her session, she get Layla into the booth with her. both wearing headsets, Tanya gets Layla to join her singing which she loved. She even got her to put some attitude (T style) into it and sang harmony with her. Little Layla really can sing well and it was a touching moment for Mama T. Layla later says she wants to be a singer like her Mama and to sing with her too. Another fun and action packed week in Tuckerville comes to and end!

Tuckerville May 20th

 

Serious, funny and always eventful, it's another fun trip to TUCKERVILLE!

Grayson has been seen in previous episodes plucking away on his guitar and loves to make up songs, often about things going on in the family. Tanya knows his love of playing an desire to become a songwriter as a career. Knowing many very talented songwriters, she invites an old friend of hers and someone the children love and admire to dinner. Billy Joe Shaver. Here's what GAC, Great American Country had to say about Billy.

Since the 1973 release of his debut recording, Old Five And Dimers Like Me, Billy Joe Shaver has been recognized by his fellow artists as one of the most respected songwriters of our time. His songs have been covered by an impressive list of performers including Bob Dylan, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Elvis Presley, The Highwaymen, Patty Loveless, and Marty Stuart. For nearly two decades, he and his son Eddy have been honing their skills on the road, under the name "Shaver."

 

Tanya prepares a good home cooked meal while Billy tells stories and she and the kids listen with fascination. Grayson wants to write like Billy about real life things he's done, places he's been etc. They sit down for dinner and Billy pulls his normal, "well, I hate to eat and leave" line on Tanya who adores him and knows he's just like that.

 

The next morning Tanya's personal trainer, Chad comes to the house and much to his surprise finds Tanya up, dressed and warming up! He runs her through her paces, some very difficult, then tells her they are going to go shopping at a health food store. Tanya tells him, before they go she wants him to try something. Shocked that he had never had one before when they first met, she pulls out a Crispy Cream donut and tells him he can't go through life without ever tasting one. He reluctantly takes a bite and admits, it's wonderful. Now it's on to the health food store where he points out the good food and T keeps trying to put bad food in the cart which he puts back!

To further nurture Graysons love of playing guitar and desire to be a songwriter, Tanya invites a very talented guitar player, Don Trenner over to work with Grayson. He teaches him song finger exercises to help him learn chords. Grayson tells him he'd like to learn some Willie Nelson style playing. He took the session very seriously ad listened and watch intently. It was good to see him applying himself to something positive instead of cooking up pranks!

Tanya and Presley are off to the spa for some pampering and Grayson decides to tag along to see what the big deal is about. While the girls are getting their hair highlighted and styled, Grayson gets a shampoo and facial massage that he really enjoys! He decides to have a manicure since it's easier to play guitar with short nails. In typical Grayson fashion for the unexpected, he gets his nails painted a pretty pink! Next it's a fresh haircut and everyone goes home looking sharp and happy with the fresh hairdos.

Meanwhile, Curt who was ordered to do community service after spending several days in jail for traffic violations is off to the senior home where he entertains the ladies playing guitar. He tells them he's taking them on a field trip to The Cracker Barrel and they all get on the bus and off they go. They had a great time shopping and enjoyed the day out. Curt said he had fun. While doing his civic duty, he managed to make it an enjoyable day for all.

After Tanya's next session with trainer, Chad, she decides to take a walk for more exercise. As she walks out the door she grabs none other than...a Crispy Cream donut! She admitted earlier, she could go 'cold turkey' on this health food thing. She wants to enjoy life too after all. While on her walk she gets a call on her cell phone from Connie Nelson, former wife of Willie Nelson. She asked Tanya if she'd help out with an album she was putting together for charity and Tanya agrees to do so.

She invites her good friend Nancy to come along to the session and little Layla comes too. They walk in to Buck's Place Studio where Tanya is greeted by long time friend, Connie Nelson. The song Tanya is recording is called "Sleep Walking" which is about a woman realizing she needs to spend more time with her children. It's a wonderful song which Tanya did her usual awesome job on, adding her personal touches. Connie was sure it was the perfect choice asking Tanya to record it.

At home in Tuckerville while Grayson and Nelson are fishing. Grayson decides they should hold a competition between Curt and Steven who both have been his sitter while Tanya was away. It winning a three part challenge and Curt came out the winner. He wasn't too happy though when after winning the boys pelted him with paintballs and upon going back to the house Tanya asked about what happened and made the boys apologize to Curt. Curt left in not too good of a mood. We'll see how they deal with this later I'm sure.

Tuckerville May 27th Part One

 

Tanya talks about traveling and how hard it is when she has to leave the kids behind. As she get a manicure in preparation for for a road trip to sing at a Trick Pony concert, Nancy, Tanya's friend walks in and catches her smoking! (Ops!) She said she thought it would be impossible for her to kick the habit but, she was going to try a couple more sessions with the hypnotist and see what happens. Laura, who must be one of T's assistants in organizing details for her travels comes in and tells her there's a problem with her bus but she has another one out front that Ziggy (another helper or friend) is checking out. He finds the toilet is not working so Laura gets back on the phone frantically trying to locate another bus for the trip.

Meanwhile, Curt is talking to Cali about his date with Ashley and thinks he made a good impression because she accepted an invitation to go on a second date with him. He tells her about the profile Grayson wrote on him and thinks he should continue to act the part.

The second back up bus finally arrives as time is ticking away, getting closer to departure time for Tanya. Laura was told this bus had just come off a 60 day tour and hadn't been cleaned yet. She goes inside and it is a total mess and she explains there is no time to get it cleaned and ready and she wouldn't think of putting Tanya on it so makes yet more calls for bus replacement number 3! Now it's down to the wire time as she locates a bus Toby Keith uses on location. She tells Tanya and they hope it gets there in time for her to make it to the concert since she spoke to Trick Pony and they were doing sound checks already before the concert.

Nelson helps Grayson work on a science project, a volcano and after making a mess it's done and ready to try out. They take it outside where Grayson adds some fireworks to the mound to make it more interesting. He never does anything without his personal touch. They light it and the show begins leaving him feeling pretty proud of it.

Finally, Tanya and Presley are on their way to Indianapolis where they BOTH will be on stage performing with the group. Presley is trying to learn the words to the song they'll be singing while they are on route. Tanya is certain they will be very late but as it turns out, she realizes they will never make it before the concert ends. She calls the group to explain and they all decide if she can't get there in time, they'll just hang out after the show. Trick Pony used to open for Tanya at her concerts so they are all good pals, even Presley, who was much younger remembers them and likes their singing. Ira Dean of the group used to be Tanya's bass player in her band. After their concert they join Tanya & Presley in the bus for some fun and singing.

 

Tuckerville May 27th Part Two

Back in Nashville, Curt picks Ashely up for their date. He take her to a little club for drinks while waiting for time for the dinner reservations. Curt plays his part of the wealthy, simi excentric bachelor and asks Ashley to dance the salsa with him. She is reluctant and tells him she doesn't know hw but he drags her on the dance floor and does the Curt version of the salsa looking like a nut! Dinner was more of is antics leaving poor Ashley to think this is the weirdest date she's ever been on. He was going to drive her home after dinner but she decided to take a cab that was out front. I can't say I blame her after Curt made his lobster into a talking, dancing puppet at dinner!

Back at Tuckerville a nasty storm is brewing as Tanya and the kids are packing for a 2 week tour. This time everyone can come along. As Tanya is deciding on outfits to take the power went off in the whole house. She grabs a candle, lights it and rounds everyone up downstairs in the living room. All but Layla who's sound asleep, thunder, lightening and all. There are candles all over and since there was noting to do until the power returned Tanya started to talk about events of the past which were part of the show. Everyone joined and and had a few laughs about the past events.

Curt and Cali were there with the Tucker's and everyone joined in talking about everything from Tanya and Annie's falling out to the haunted house Tanya and the rest pulled on Grayson. It was a nice family time with no distractions, a rare thing in Tuckerville. So even mother nature's fury brought something good to Tuckerville.

The storm passes and the next day the family packs the bus and is on their way. Tanya and Layla look out the window at the beautiful surroundings on the property and their mansion which is the home they all love. Off on another adventure and tour for Tanya they go.
