One Fan's Dream Come True!

Last night an ultimate dream of mine came true. I met Tanya and had her sign my book. She was at Brentano's books in Century City Ca. I was surprised to hear that she wasn't on Larry King Live because she showed up late to the book signing and I guess I just figured that was where she was at.

Coolest moment. Walking up to Tanya Tucker... her looking at me and saying hi and smiling at me with the biggest brightest smile ever. I swear it was just so cool to be standing in front of my childhood hero. Then, I showed her my shirt (one that I had bought off of ebay, it is like a baseball t-shirt with her picture. It is vintage and it is totally cute. Presley was there and told her mom, "oh mom, I would so wear that shirt!" It was the coolest moment ever! Then I told Tanya how much I appreciated her, that her music helps me to battle my blues, and that my family and I love her. It was soooo totally cool. She is awesome, beautiful, and everything that I expected "Tanya Tucker" to be. The best thing about Tanya is that she walks into a room and nobody cares about anyone else but her. She is it! (My husband was taking pictures all along. He said that I looked nervous the whole time waiting up until the moment I went to talk to her. Then he says it looks like I was talking to an old friend!! I was! :)

My Review Of The Book!

I just finished reading the book , I had pre-ordered it from Amazon.com......it was really interesting reading about all the perspectives on beating the blues, from stars to people from all walks of life.  For instance George Jones rides around his farm on one of his tractors or goes car riding with wife Nancy...Wynonna cleans out her 'stuff', like drawers etc. Loretta makes fried bologna sandwiches, lol.

Of course Tanya's piece is the first chapter & is the one in the excerpt from Simon & Shuster.  All in all....fun to read!.......Reen
